Congratulations Harold on being adopted!
He was adopted by his new family from the Humane Society of Huron Valley on 6/4/09.
Pure Bliss!!!! That's what Harold shows you when he's getting his back scratched!
Harold was left out in the freezing cold with no food or water in February. Luckily our Cruelty and Rescue Team was able to save him in time. After being treated so poorly he still trusts people and is a very sweet Pit Bull. He's a bit shy at first, but once he warms up Harold is one of those doggies whose whole body wiggles with happiness when he sees you. Harold is about a year old. He's got some special adoption requirements because of his breed. He's been neutered and given his shots. Are you looking for a loving companion who will be loyal and make you laugh? Come visit Harold, he's got those qualities and more!
Congratulations Marble on being adopted! Marble is a 7-year-old Hound mix with beautiful red-tick coloring. She’s a little shy but otherwise a very nice hound that will lead you on walks following her nose as she goes. Marble is energetic and intelligent but she needs a family that will help with her training. She was found as a stray and may not have had a lot of attention and training but with someone’s help she will shine and be a really wonderful companion. Hounds are affectionate with their families and can be content to be just with them, whether it is participating in an outdoor activity or just sitting around. Marble will need a lot of exercise to keep her happy and healthy. She should be in a family with older kids (at least 10 years old) and in a family who likes to explore on walks!
She was Adopted by her new family from the Humane Society of Huron Valley on 4/27/09.
Congratulations Patrick on getting adopted!Patrick is intelligent and very active, so we’d like him to be adopted into an active family. Since Patrick weighs 42 pounds, we’d like him to be adopted into a family where kids are 10-years or older.
Pit bulls make great companions. Unfortunately, media hype and unsavory people have cast a shadow on this loving breed. Irresponsible owners are one of the major causes for all the problems the breed faces today. Please ask us for more information on Patrick and all of the other wonderful pit bulls we have up for adoption.
Congratulations Ranger on being adopted!Ranger is a very handsome, chocolate Labrador Retriever who is 2 years old. He was previously owned but his owner had a job change and could not keep him.
Ranger is a sweet and lovable Lab but he doesn’t like being in a cage - can you blame him? It was hard for Ranger to understand his big life change. He gets stressed by all the barking dogs at the shelter, but as soon as he goes for a walk, or plays fetch, his wonderful Lab personality comes shining through! In the play yard he seems to do fine with other dogs as well.
Ranger LOVES to run so he will need a family that will play and exercise with him. Ranger is a high energy dog and could use consistency in his training and a family that will show him the love he deserves. He should be in a home where any kids are at least 10 years old because Ranger is a big boy, who weighs about 70 lbs.
Congratulations Dallas on being adopted! Dallas is an 8 year old Beagle who came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley as a stray. Dallas weighs about 32 pounds and is a very sweet guy. He likes to go for walks and explore. Dallas is a handsome Beagle. He may be a little gray around the muzzle but that does not stop Dallas from being active. Dallas likes kids and would enjoy running around the yard playing with the kids and then coming in for a long nap. Dallas likes to give you kisses and enjoys attention and treats! He is longing for the day that his new forever family will take him for a car ride to his loving home. The Humane Society of Huron Valley asks you to please adopt – best friends can’t be bought.
He was Adopted by his new family from the Humane Society of Huron Valley on 7/29/08.

Congratulations Tina on being adopted!
She was adopted by his new family from the Humane Society of Huron Valley on 7/6/09.
She's a GREAT gal.
Abandoned without food or water, left on a porch for days in freezing weather with no source of warmth – that is how Tina’s time with HSHV began. She also had been bred at least once and still shows signs of having had a recent litter. She's been here almost 3 months now, and Tina needs a home. Tina is safe and well fed here at the shelter. She is a sweet and loving girl, just 3 years old. Despite her previous treatment, she loves people and will lean against you to show it. Tina is a good girl looking for just the right family who can treat her well. She needs to be in a family where any kids are at least 12, and she needs a family who will be patient and kind to her! She also should be in a cat free home. Tina is a big galoot who loves to run and loves to chew on toys and to play fetch. She's smart, and knows sit, and will looking longingly at you for the treat after sitting. Tina has been spayed and has had her shots and is available to be your loving companion today.
